Free Education on Lactation!
I am on the faculty at International Breastfeeding Institute, the lactation school of the International Doula Institute. I was a CBC before I became an IBCLC.
To become an IBCLC there are 3 PATHWAYS. All 3 PATHWAYS require 14 college levels classes, 95 hours of lactation specific education and clinical contact hours. Once those pieces are complete, you take an international exam.
It's a great place to start increasing your knowledge base in lactation and giving back to your community. My 45 hours course is SUPER FUN! Once that is complete at IBI I also offer an Advanced Lactation Course worth 50 CERPS for the deep dive with me on becoming an IBCLC.
The CBC Course - Our Core Course - is open for everyone, is 100% online and worth 45 CERPS - also known as Continuing Education Recognition Points - towards all 3 PATHWAYS to becoming an IBCLC.
